Maple, Hickory, Black Locust and Ash self-bows pictured. As well as pussy willow (I think) arrows with turkey feather fletchings. Cotton bow strings (with upgraded strings on the heavy bows including 2 lengths of braided 30 lb test fishing line!).

I finished my first successful bow, a 45 inch musclewood shortbow (self bow). The draw weight is between 20-30 lbs. it includes a repair made of cotton string and woodglue. This style would have been the first all-purpose bow adopted by all cultures. I name him “baby shark”

my Dad wrangled a peice of locust wood (yellow curvy guy) and i derived 2 staves from a downed maple (maybe) log (big straight beefy staves). The journey continues.🙏🏹

The Lordly work bench of house Chave. Inspired by English, French and Japanese tradition. The main feature of the bench is an inlayed wagon vise and a dog/ doghole system which allows the entire work surface to function as a clamp / compressional surface. The goal of this force multiplier is combine art and functional craft. Namely traditional wooden weapons / weapon systems. The side vise pictured will also be fitted for standard uses and more specifically bow making. I will name her… Alice.

It isn’t often Nkisi Nkondi (pictured above), president of online website builder wordpress leaves his villa on Cape Wrangell and heads for the Big Apple… But on Thanks Giving 2021, that is exactly what he did.

“Yes, i arrived at 3:30 in new york city to give our golden trophy to the associates of chaveart.com…” Nkundi went onto say ”…yes, it is harder than every to make a place for yourself in the world, and also in wordpress. I was so very privileged to meet Mr. Chave in person. You know, my friends on Cape Wrangell will often call me ”Baboomba” and on this day i said Mr Chave call me Baboomba…”

Of course we at Chaveart.com were so thankful to host our friend Nkisi Nkondi at our New York office and we are flattered to be awarded wordpress’s number one site trophy “We welcome Baboomba back anytime, and hey, maybe we’ll take the boat 🛥 up to the cape and get some of that old Wrangell fish fry” 🐠🐟🐡 Chave said with a chuckle.

Of course, as the main stream media has now reported, Nkisi Nkondi was attacked by protesters on Cape Wrangell suffering a broken orbital bone from a knuckle sandwich 🥪 delivered 4 inches north east of Baboombas pie hole. Nkisi has been released from hospital in good spirits and has been quoted as saying “If i had to do the same again i would my friend Fernando”.

what does this say about the arc of a person’s life? Is a man’s life only the sum of his riches?… or rather the wealth of his experiences? Who cares?
